Pathway expression in tumours with and without TP53 somatic mutations in different breast cancer subtypes. Boxplots compare single-sample GSEA scores for various hallmark pathways in mutant and wild-type TP53 tumours across different PAM50 subtypes as well as overall (“TP53”). Hallmark pathways were selected if they were previously found to be dysregulated across three or more subtypes in GSEA analysis, or based on known functions of the TP53 gene. Boxplots represent medians (centre line) and interquartile range, and whiskers represent the maximum and minimum values within 1.5 times the interquartile range from the edge of the box. Each data point represents an individual sample. P values are derived from Mann–Whitney U tests
