Table 1 The average length of the oestrous cycle and the number of oestrous cycles with 28 days in adult doxycycline-treated Cfms-rtTA, TetO-TbrII and Cfms-TbrII mice. Oestrous cycles were tracked for 28 days (between 8 and 12 weeks of age) by histological analysis of vaginal smears. Oestrus was defined as when > 90% of cells in vaginal smear were cornified epithelial cells. A single complete cycle was defined as the first day of oestrus through to the first day of the next oestrus (n = 8–12 per group). Data are presented as mean ± SEM, with statistical analysis conducted using a one-way ANOVA test (no significant differences detected)
