Dormant tumor cells can be recovered from distant organs, ex vivo. Lungs that did not have any visible tumor were obtained from FVBN202 transgenic mice bearing primary tumor in the mammary region who received no treatment (Ctrl), FAC chemotherapy (FAC), or FAC chemotherapy followed by AIT and anti-PD-1 antibody therapy (FAC/AIT).
