Hierarchical clustering with Euclidean distance and average linkage based on a study I: clustering of 24,395 probes and 23 pairs of samples; b study II: clustering of 32,332 probes and 56 pairs of samples. In brief, probes and samples were grouped based on similarities calculated using the Euclidean distance method and average linkage (Additional file 1: Supplementary information). Sample dendrogram bars were coloured according to PAM50 intrinsic subtypes and pairing of samples respectively.
