  1. Tumour numbers scored (0–2) on immunohistochemistry (IHC) for IGFBP-3 expression in the cytoplasm of invasive cancers and ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). IHC expression was individually assessed in the nucleus and cytoplasm, and defined as negative (0), weak/moderate (1+) or strong (2+). Positivity for IGFBP-3 expression was defined as an IHC score of (1+/2+).
