From: Breast screening has increased the number of mastectomies
Patients diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ treated by mastectomy. Absolute numbers of patients diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) through the UK National Breast Screening Programme treated by mastectomy.
