  2. The E-cadherin-modified MDA-MB-468 cell lines were orthotopically inoculated to the right mammary fat pads of severe combined immunodeficiency mice (n = 12–13 per group). The groups inoculated with wild-type MDA-MB-468 (468-WT), 468-shSCR, 468-shCDH1-B, 468-shCDH1-D, and 468-CDH1 developed tumors in all mice. In the 468-pcDNA3 group, 9 of 12 mice developed tumors. One mouse from the 468-shCDH1-D group died before harvest as a result of non-tumor-related causes
