Protein alterations associated with microRNA (miRNA) expression. Western blot analysis of protein kinase D1 (Pkd1), transforming growth factor, beta receptor I (Tgfβr1), transforming growth factor beta (Tgfβ), v-akt murine thymoma viral oncogene (Akt), mechanistic target of rapamycin (Mtor), mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 4 (Mkk4), phosphorylated mitogen-activated protein kinase 8 (p-Jnk), and phosphorylated Smad family member 3/Smad family member 3 (p-Smad3/Smad3) ratio protein expression in mammary glands of 50-day-old female offspring of control diet (CO)-, lard (LB)-, and corn oil (CB)-fed male rats. Statistically significant difference (p ≤ 0.05) compared with aCO and bLB, according to analysis of variance followed by a least significant difference test. Marginal difference (p ≤ 0.06) compared with dLB, according to t test. The data are expressed as mean ± SEM (n = 5 per group)
