Type P tumors arise in mice infected by the mouse mammary tumor virus. Myoepithelial differentiation is prominent in ductal areas (a, arrowheads), whereas suprabasal cells have a luminal phenotype and label for K8/18 (b). Clusters and individual suprabasal cells are labeled by antibodies against α-smooth muscle actin (c) and in cells with myoepithelial differentiation (arrowheads).
