Kaplan-Meier analysis of H4K20me3 and H3K9me3 levels in breast cancer patients. The three-point scoring system used in Figure 1 was consolidated into a two-point scale. Cases with scores of 0 and 1 constitute the low-staining group, and cases with a score of 2 constitute the high-staining group. Then patient overall survival time (A and C) and disease-free survival rate (B and D) were compared between the H4K20me3 low- and high-staining groups (A and B), and between the H3K9me3 low- and high-staining groups (C and D), by Kaplan-Meier analysis. This method yields a survival curve that considers both outcomes (death) and censored cases. Significance is calculated by log-rank test between two groups (low- and high-staining).
