CYP2E1 is involved in orchestrating autophagy in breast cancer. MCF7 (A) and MDA-MB-231 (B) breast cancer cells were analysed for the autophagy biomarkers beclin-1, LC-3, Atg7 and Atg5 protein levels. Cells were transfected with PCDNA3, CMV-CYP2E1 expression plasmid, scrambled RNAi, and CYP2E1 shRNA and total cell extracts were subjected to western blot analysis.
