Opposing in vitro effects of 5αP and 3αHP on proliferation of MDA-MB-231 cells used in the in vivo (xenograft) studies. Cells were seeded at 4 × 104 cells per dish, allowed to attach for 24 hours, and then treated for 72 hours without (C, control) or with 10-6 M 5αP and/or 3αHP, and proliferation was determined by cell counts.
