NRL-PRL adenocarcinomas express markers distinct from other well-characterized models of breast cancer. RNA from the set of mammary carcinomas in Figure 4 that developed in NRL-PRL, MMTV-neu [28], C3(1)-SV40 Tag [29], and transplanted p53-/- (O'Leary and Schuler, manuscript in preparation) models was examined for levels of transcripts implicated in mammary lineages by qRT-PCR as described in the Materials and Methods. Each symbol denotes a distinct tumor. The horizontal bar indicates the mean level for each model.
