  1. The malignant sites are stratified according to disease type (IDC, DCIS, ILC, or LCIS) and by depth. Malignant sites at 0 mm are considered positive; sites from 0+ to 1 mm or 1+ to 2 mm are considered close. DCIS, ductal carcinoma in situ; IDC, invasive ductal carcinoma; ILC, invasive lobular carcinoma; LCIS, lobular carcinoma in situ.
