Accumulation of HSA-STL-6014 and HSA-STL-7012 in large MDA-MB-231-RFP tumors. CD-1 nude, female, mice bearing orthotopically grafted, large MDA-MB-231-RFP tumors were intravenously injected with 0.7 nmol (a) HSA-STL-6014 or (b) HSA-STL-7012. Fluorescence images of the tumors were taken at the indicated times post-injection. Upper panel - near infrared (NIR) fluorescence images indicate bacteriochlorophyll derivative (Bchl-D) distribution, lower panel - red fluorescence images indicate tumor size and location. (c) Longitudinal accumulation of STL-6014, HSA-STL-6014 and HSA-STL-7012 in large tumors. Total fluorescence intensity within the individual tumor boundaries at the indicated times, was normalized per unit area and expressed as photon/(sec × cm2).
