(a) Determination of 1α-hydroxylase, (b) VDR and (c) 24-hydroxylase mRNA expression in normal (N) breast tissue specimens (n = 10) and breast cancer (T) specimens (n = 19) by semiquantitative RT-PCR. The expression was related to the 28S rRNA level in each sample. The results are presented as mean ± standard error of the mean. and comparisons between the group means were analyzed by Student's t-test.
